Autumn Joy Sedum is one of the most well-known and widely planted of all the sedums. It is easily one of the finest of all upright Sedums. The umbrella-like flower heads are pink and change to a rosy red and finally a deep garnet in fall. The flowers bloom from July to September and stay in bloom until frost. If you leave the plant alone, the flower heads turn a dark brown and look great covered in winter snow. You can clip off the flowers in spring when the new growth starts. The plant is 18" tall and spreads to about 24", so it’s just right for your perennial border ( Mature plant ). ‘Autumn Joy’ is a great choice for beds and borders and excellent as a cut flower. It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor.
