Description
This is a sweet version of a vintage Japanese Kokeshi doll. It was hand carved and painted, and comes with its original box. This came from the estate of the eccentric aunt in NY, so yet another fabulous curiosity! She is wearing a lovely kimono, and is playing with a brightly striped ball. She is 5" tall, and a cutie. There are some cracks in her hairpiece, but I'm not sure if that was there all along, or if it is from age. Otherwise she is perfect, and signed by the artist on the bottom. A nice addition to any collection, or a good start!
