It is hard shell, outside is completely covered with leather & stainless trim around the outer edge, the handle and fasteners. Has a 3 digit combination lock for safe keeping of any documents or whatever you may use for (I will give you the 3 digit combo info through message upon purchase. Inside also completely lined with fine leather, and has a 3 section divider and one small pocket. The snap straps are adjustable on the dividers compartment so you can keep everything in place as well as loosen them to expand the space for large assortments of whatever you need to keep safe and organized.
