Description

Handwoven from wood splints, this vintage basket has all the charming details. Constructed with a unique, v-shaped opening, stripes of muted red, green, and a chalkboard-black piece with painted school motifs punctuate the warm, organic color of the weave. The single handle and rectangular shape, with flat sides and bottom allow the basket to hang on the wall. While this basket could be used to contain and organize supplies, filled with small, thoughtful gifts, it would also be a lovely way to show appreciation for a special teacher. This piece is in good vintage condition, with a clean and sturdy weave, but has a cracked splint on the back that can be easily repaired or concealed. Measures approximately 8" tall (not including handle), 7" from side to side, 7.5" across the mouth.
