This is my first experience with the Mercari platform. If the Vendor is unable to respond to an order then Mercari should allow a vendor to quickly establish a bounce back message in the event of illness or unavoidable delays for any orders, placed. My order was shipped and was as expected. I however now have 2 of the same item , as I ordered from another website when the communication chain broke down. I contacted customer service to cancel the order and somehow this resulted in my order being changed to In Process. The Vendor did send a note apologizing for the delay due to illness in the family and I do understand that family emergencies arise and do not blame the Vendor. Something about Mercari’s policies are not right. My account was debited the day I placed the order rather than the day it was shipped, a difference of 7 days. I will stick to eBay. Good luck to all of the Vendors who sell their products on Mercari.
