Another excavation on my current mountain property. This early machine made bottle dates around 1936, a few years after my house was built. Earlier bottles in the 1920s used corks. The first machine made bottles often mimicked the tops of the original corked medicine and tonic bottles with a lip such as this one. Note the early Owens Ring (as in pre Owens-Corning Glass Co) on the bottom and side seams with complete ring seam around the underline of the neck. The screw cap is silver, slightly cracked with excavation remnants. There is an opalescent patina from the original contents. See pics. Sold AS IS—testament to the evolution of production and American ingenuity. 6 1/2” high, bottom 2” wide oval x 1 3/4” across Cap 1/2” diameter, 3/8” high Pandora’s Garage FOLLOWER’S SPECIAL Glass Bottle Owens Medicine Vintage Collector Apothecary Bottle
