It is porcelain, and there's an adorable gray and white owl at the top of the frame sitting amongst yellow mushrooms, green leaves and pink berries. At the bottom of the frame you'll find the heart-melting message "owl love you for always." The frame measured 9 3/4 inches x 6 3/8 inches and holds a 4 inch x 6 inch picture. There’s a crack on the side of the glass but could easily be removed and used without it.
