Vintage Rare Blues Harp by M. Hohner, Germany from the 1960’s. Popularized by Bob Dylan, young people picked up the Harmonica in droves. This unused 4” long Hohner Blues Harp has a bluesy harp sound with its rare key of A setting. The “A” is embossed in the metal on the top side corner. This brass reedplate harmonica with hardwood treated comb is built to last. This is a blues diatonic scale with MS Modular System containing 20 reeds. Back end is opened up for volume and projection. No side vents, so creates a unique tone with the wood body. The reeds have a little more gapping than usual, so more air can get in for a bigger sound. This blues harp is ideal for playing the blues for those who want a strong, whiny blues sound, like Bob Dylan who plays this very model. Hohner is synonymous with quality. Later models have a 1 screw per side attachment; this 1966 model has 4 screws, 2 on each side. Typical 1960’s plastic cover is in new condition, just like it looked 57 years ago. Mint.
