Large Vintage Chinese Red Lacquer Dragon or Foo Dog Shaped Box - Lacquer Hand Painted Box
Perfect for gift-giving, this jewelry/trinket box is lacquered red on the outside and black on the interior. It has hand painted decor/art motifs such as gold coins, embossing throughout the exterior. Marked on the bottom, Made in the People's Republic of China (On October 1, 1949, the Chinese Communist leader declared the creation of the People's Republic of China, PRC). Pre-owned and in good condition. 
Box measures 5" L X 5" W. There are some bubbles in the lacquer on the face, made in manufacturing of item. All reasonable offers considered. Very rare item, bought in the 1950's.
