Extremely rare, large example of Jan Johansson Swedish Graal style for Orrefors Glass vase. Signed and numbered by artist. Early example of his work from 1969. 
Jan Johansson came to Orrefors in 1969 after training as a silversmith in Stockholm at the College of Arts, Craft and Design. As an artist, he is interested in refining the optical effects of pure, sculptural crystal. 
Cut crystal sculptures set on a solid marble stand are an important component of his art glass production. 
7” high by 6” in diameter. Weighs well over 7 pounds. 
No chips or cracks or damage noted other than some scratches on bottom of base

Etched art glass vase by EDVIN OHRSTROM for ORREFORS of Sweden titled “Wish to the Moon.” Scene is young girl on one side of glass looking at moon and stars on other side of glass. Vase is a unique shape: approximately 4” tall X 6.5” length X 2” wide X 4” inside depth and weighs more than 2 pounds.
