Issuing payment or completing a sale outside of Mercari is called an "offline transaction", and will put your transaction at risk, because if your item shows up not as described - or doesn't show up at all - we are unable to resolve any issues.

All purchases on Mercari are covered by our Buyer Protection. The seller won’t receive your payment until after you receive the package and verify that everything checks out.

If a seller asks you to pay offline or to give them your payment info, please refuse and then report it at contact@mercari.com.

Note: Mercari Meetup Beta transactions are only eligible in select zip codes.
