Once you have saved up a balance from previous sales, you can request a cash out. Whether you choose Instant Pay or a direct deposit, getting paid on Mercari is fast and easy.
Direct deposit transfer requests deposit your Mercari balance into your ACH account. These requests are usually processed on the following business day.
Once a transfer request is processed, it can take up to 5 business days for the funds to appear in your bank statement.
Keep in mind that each Mercari account can only use one bank account. So if you’ve got a joint bank account, only one of the account owners can use it on Mercari. We do this to prevent fraudulent activity.
Tap Settings > Balance > “Transfer my balance”
Enter your name as it appears on the account, including the routing and checking account numbers.
Confirm the amount you want to transfer then tap “Confirm.” When the direct deposit is processed, we’ll send you an email confirmation.
Please note that direct deposits can only be made to checking accounts.
Routing numbers are 9-digit identification numbers located on your checks. The routing number’s location on your check may vary. If you’re having trouble finding it, your bank can help.
To make changes to a direct deposit request, you’ll first have to cancel it. Once it’s been cancelled, you can make changes here:
Settings > Balance > “Transfer”
Then enter your name as it appears on the account, including the routing and checking account numbers.
If you’d like to cancel a direct deposit request, you’ve got until 11:59 PM (PT) the day of your request to cancel it.
Here’s how you can cancel it:
Go to your profile, then tap Settings > Balance > Deposit History
Tap the deposit you want to cancel and tap Cancel
If the Cancel option isn’t available for you to tap, then the request has already been processed.
When this happens, the receiving bank will reject the funds within 10 business days if the account and routing numbers are invalid.
Note: If the funds are returned to your Mercari balance, a $2 non-refundable processing fee will be deducted.
Instead of waiting for days for your balance to show up in your bank, Instant Pay cashes you out in 30 minutes tops.
You can use Instant Pay to receive up to $500 a month, making one request per day. All that’s required is a $2 fee per request.
You’ll need to verify your government ID and add a debit card to your account to cash out with Instant Pay.
In the app, tap Settings > Balance > “Transfer” > Instant Pay
Make sure you’re verified. To get set up, you’ll need to verify your government ID and add a debit card. We currently accept Visa and Mastercard debit cards for Instant Pay.
Enter the amount you want to transfer and tap “Confirm.”
Because your balance is transferred immediately with Instant Pay, you can’t make any changes or cancel a request. Instant Pay is currently only available in App.
