How to update your shipping label

If you’re paying for shipping and you need to change the weight or dimensions, you can edit the shipping label on the Order Status page.

If the buyer is paying for shipping and you need to change the weight or dimensions you can either cover the additional cost yourself at the post office, or cancel the transaction and edit the listing so the buyer can repurchase.

Be sure to keep the buyer informed on what you decide to do.

To cancel the transaction for the buyer to repurchase:

  1. Go to the Order Status page and send your buyer a transaction message explaining the situation.
  2. Ask your buyer to Like the item or Follow you so the item can be easily repurchased.
  3. Cancel the item by tapping “Refund the buyer” on the bottom of the Order Status page.
  4. Go to My Page > My Listings > Edit > the item > Activate.

Your buyer will see the item in My Likes or Following and can purchase the item again. You can then create a new shipping label.

If you’ve already tapped “Confirm Shipment,” you’ll have to cancel the transaction and reactivate the listing for the buyer to purchase. Your second option is to ship the item on your own with a valid tracking number. If you choose to do this, reach out to us using the form below.

Want to reprint your shipping label?

You can reprint your shipping label in the app by tapping Profile > Selling > In Progress > the Item, then tap "View & Print." You can also find it here.

Can you resend my return label?

After a return is approved, the seller has 24 hours to confirm their return address. After this time, a return label will be emailed to you.

Having trouble finding your return label? You can resend or download your return label directly from the Order Status page.

Note: With Mercari Pack and Ship, there’s no need to print a shipping label. The shipping code on your phone serves as your label.
