Why do I need to provide my ID?

We’re a regulated company that facilitates the transfer of funds. In order to comply with our regulations, and to help prevent fraudulent activity, we sometimes require users to verify their identities by validating a form of ID. This keeps the marketplace safer.

Note:

  • If you don’t have a passport or driver license, you can also use a government-issued ID. We may ask for proof of address as needed.
  • If you need to use a Visa, please contact our Help Center for instructions.
  • ID validation must be completed in the mobile app and isn’t available on our website.

Please note that if you don’t provide the requested information, or we are unable to verify your identity or validate the documents provided, we may not be able to process transactions for you, and we may have to close your account.
