How do FedEx and UPS economy shipping options work?

  • Warning:
Do not drop off a FedEx Ground® Economy or UPS SurePost® (now UPS Ground Saver) package at USPS Post Office or USPS Drop Box. You will be responsible for any loss incurred and will not be able to get your item back.

  • What is FedEx Ground® Economy (formerly FedEx SmartPost®)?

FedEx Ground® Economy is an affordable and cost-effective service for delivering lightweight packages. Once you drop off your package at a FedEx location or Authorized Shipping Center, FedEx will get it to your destination and with final delivery by USPS for APO and rural areas.
