This is a paperback edition of the classic poem by Clement Moore as illustrated by Anita Lobel.  The illustrations were copyrighted by Anita Lobel in 1984.  This is the first Dragonfly Books edition from September 2000. Dragonfly Books is a  division of Alfred A. Knopf publishers.   Lobel's colorful paintings of a Victorian household on Christmas Eve and Santa's flight over New York City complement each stanza of the well-known poem.  The book is in very good condition.  There's a little wear around the edges of the cover that can be seen in the photos.  Inside the book is very clean - no writing, stains or tears.  The binding remains tight, securely holding the pages.

This is a lot of two hardcover books written about Willy Wonka and Charlie Bucket by Roald Dahl.  Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is complete with dust jacket; the jacket is missing on Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator.  This edition of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was published by Alfred A. Knopf in 2005 and includes a section of color photographs from the Warner Bros. film starring Johnny Depp released at that time.  The dust jacket is in very good condition.  No writing, stains, tears or folds to the pages which are secure in the binding.  The unprotected cover of Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator shows some wear (see photos).  A child has written her name etc. in marker in the box on the flyleaf.  There is no other writing in the book, no stains, tears or folds.  The book was published by Knopf in 2001.  The binding securely holds the pages.

An Ex-Library copy withdrawn from a small town library in Nebraska. The covers are library binding and show typical signs of wear with some fraying of cloth on the board edges. Wonderful Early Edition of Roald Dahl 1964 Classic Storybook CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY aka WILLE WONKA later made into films with Gene Wilder and later with Timothée Chalamet.

There are wonderful line drawings throughout the tale. The dust jacket does show some wear as illustrated in the photos as well as some darkened edges of the book. The inside cover also has the original owner’s name printed in ink.
