Two PMC Blue Floral Double Handled Soup Bowls/Crocks with Matching Underplate Saucers

A fantastic set of two double handled earthenware soup/chili bowls or crocks with accompanying underplate.  These cream colored bowls and saucers are rimmed in blue and decorated with a blue and pink floral design with green stems and leaves.   The underside of each piece is stamped with PMC - Made in China.

The bowl measures 4 3/4" across opening and 2 1/2" high and the saucer is 6 1/4" in diameter.   The bowl holds 12 fluid ounces to the rim.  Each bowl and plate set are very substantive weighing approximately 1 lb 8 oz.

The two bowl sets are in very good overall vintage condition with no chips, cracks or scratches noted.  Upon close inspection, there is some minor crazing on the saucers that do not detract from their overall appeal.  See photos for condition.

A very nice set of soup bowls that are both functional and attractive.

This set of six ceramic apple-shaped dishes were made by Hoenig of California. Each leaf group has a cutout for easy handling. The glaze color is turquoise. Originally these were part of an appetizer set that included a bowl of dip in a circle of six apple bowls. Size: 6 x 6¼ x 1½ inches high. Marked, "Hoenig of Calif /734 / U.S.A.", ca. 1950's. All are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. These would make a sweet addition to any farmhouse chic or shabby beach decorated home. The price is for the set of 6.
