This listing is for a lovely vintage puka shell necklace. It is composed of domed "cup" like shell beads strung "hugging" each other. Love the smoothness of these beads. The beads are graduated in diameter and measure roughly between 3/16 to 3/8" in diameter, so they are fairly small and delicate. Based on the small barrel style closure and overall aesthetics/craftsmanship of this piece I think it likely was made in the 1990s.

The necklace is a choker length and measures about 14 1/2". It is in good, but not pristine vintage condition. There are some imperfections within the beads (perfectly acceptable for a natural material) and necklace does have a rustic/boho/surfer aesthetic.
