When she was human, she was a kind-hearted and family-oriented person, with a good sense of humor and never said a single selfish word. In Tanjirou's absence, she was attacked by Kibutsu Jimuzan, but she survived by turning into an ogre when her blood was mixed in with the wound. She attacks Sumijiro, who comes to her aid, but is overlooked because she shows signs of being different from ordinary demons, such as shedding tears at her desperate call and defending Tanjirou, who is starving and in need of human flesh and blood, but was beaten by Tomioka. After that, she is bound with bamboo shackles, and her consciousness is clouded.
