Facts/care: 
Mammillaria magnimamma is a perennial globose plant reaching a height of 15–30 cm and a diameter of about 13 cm. At first it grows solitary, but later forms large clumps rising above ground level. Tubercules are four-sided, with latex and the axils have dense white wool. The radial spines are 2 - 5, quite variable and unequal, with dark tips, 15 – 45 mm long. Flowers are pink or white cream with reddish midveins and a diameter of 20 – 25 mm. They bloom in mid Spring. Fruits are club shaped, dark red, about 20 mm long, and contain little brown seeds.

If you are looking for a plant that is easy to grow or you are the type of person who forgets to water their plants, then the owl's eye cactus, known as Mammillaria parkinsonii, is perfect for you. This is one of the Mammillaria species that is famous for its dichotomous branching, which is uncommon in cacti.  It gets its name from the unique appearance of its spines, which resemble the eyes of an owl.  

This unique Mammillaria has several other common names such as owl eye pincushion, owl eyes, owl's eye, cactus parkinsonii, or Nemammillaria parkinsonii.  Its unique feature is its alternating heads, starting with a single head and progressing to two heads, and so on. Because of its restricted growth and habitat loss, this mammillaria cactus is rare and endangered in its native area.

Mammillaria compressa is one of the larger species of Mammillaria, forming large dull, pale green mounds with sparse white spines and reddish-pink flowers in summers. It is called mother of hundreds because it forms large clumps, up to 3 feet wide when grown outdoors .

Mammillaria species like most cacti they're drought tolerant and need very little care and attention to grow well . Plenty of sunshine will keep this cacti more than happy. Provide bright, even light to encourage tight growth and flowering. Some shade during a hot summers day can be helpful to prevent sunburn.
Allow the soil mix to become nearly dry between watering, but then water thoroughly. Suspend watering in the winter, but mist occasionally. Not enough sunlight and over-watering are common mistakes.

- **Characteristics**: Cactus-like appearance with green and white variegated, tubular segments, and small spines. May produce small yellow flowers.
- **Care**: Needs bright, indirect sunlight. Water sparingly, allowing soil to dry thoroughly between waterings. Well-drained soil is crucial. Sensitive to overwatering and frost. Handle carefully due to its toxic sap.

Cactus House Plant - Mammillaria Elongata Ladyfinger Cactus - In 2" Pot

Mammillaria compressa is a clump-forming cactus with cylindrical to club-shaped stems with spines that vary in length and arise from conical tubercles. It readily offsets, forming a large clump in time. The stems are gray-green to blue-green, often with tufts of white hair and bristles in the axils. They can grow up to 10 inches (25 cm) long and 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter

The flowers are bright purple-pink, up to 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) in diameter, and appear in spring, forming attractive rings around each stem. Fruits are red, club-shaped, and contain brown seeds.
This succulent is shipped ‘bare roots’ and wrapped in protective tissue paper.
-‘Bare roots’ simply means there is none or very little soil on the roots of the succulent. This is to prevent rotting when shipping, and to prevent the succulent from getting damaged in the shipping process.
-When you receive the succulent, plant the roots & succulent upon receiving and they will continue to grow!

Description

Snowball cushion cactus (Mammillaria candida) is a ball-shaped plant with white felt or fuzz on the skin of the plant. It has up to 120 radial spines, cylindrical tubercles, 4-7 axillary hairs and rose pink flowers with greenish red mid-veins.
