Vintage Elgin American compact

This is a very beautiful compact that was definitely very loved and used on a regular basis way back in the day.
Closure and hinge and inside mechanisms are in perfect working order. There is a very small indentation on front of compact with very slight scuffing. On the back of compact some of gold plate has worn off and there is heavier scuffing compared to the front. Mirror is discolored with a few cloudy dots. Defects are pictured.

Gold tone vintage Elgin powder  mirrored compact, puff, mesh powder cover and the original box.  The box has some water stains and is functional and is in fair condition. The compact has a few tiny light scratches from use. The mirror is a little discolored. The compact is in good condition.

This is a vintage Elgin table clock. Ia not sure if it still works, no battery. Pretty floral design with wood look (this is actually that durable plastic).

Stands a little under a foot tall.

Good vintage condition. I believe this may have had a bottom cover, not quite sure but there isn't one. See pic.

 beautifully etched, gold toned compact. Signed in interior near the hinge. 3. 3/16" x 3.5"width. 
The mirror is in very good condition with a few imperfections on the backside (please see pic). This compact looks gently used and is a great slim and sleek design for easy carrying in any size purse.

Vintage Etched Bird Elgin Compact

Offered is a lovely vintage sterling silver powder compact. It bears the hallmark of Elgin American and is marked sterling as shown. This measures 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" and is 1/4" thick. It has a clear framed mirror in the interior cover and a hinged panel over the powder area. The decoration on the front features a raised gilded hand chased scroll pattern against a satin background. Vertical lined panels separate these sections. There are some small marks in the silver portions as shown, the gold decoration is unblemished. The back is undecorated and is smooth and shiny. The mechanical workings are all functioning appropriately. Total weight: 92.9 grams

Art Deco Sterling Compact Elgin

Features bluebirds, 14k gold, and diamonds.

7 small diamonds lining the crescent moon. Diamonds tested in the red and have a bluish hue to them. Incredible! 

Elgin brand antique pocket watch. Please notice the back of the flying bluebirds tail has worn away a little bit. The bird on top.

Beautiful!  Please see the design on the outside covers and sides.

Case marked:  Elgin, J BOSS 14K, Guranteed 20 years, Keystone Watch Case Co., and 2838528.  The watch also has the Keystone and scales logos.
Movement marked: Elgin National Watch Co. USA and 7222231

From what I found online this is a Model 1, grade 109, made in 1898, 0s, 7j and hunting.

The inside back cover has an elaborate engraving "PRESENTED FROM MAMMA TO ADA JUNE 13TH 1898"  Great history with this one!

Condition:  The glass is nice with only light signs of age....no cracks or scratches.  All covers snap into place as they should.  The top crown area still has its loop.  Slight signs of age on finish.  All hands are still on the watch.  NO HAIRLINE CRACKS ON THE PORCELAIN FACE.  The time can be set.  The watch doesnt wind or run.  SEE PICTURES.

It will be protected well and insured.

This fabulous vintage Elgin American Cigarette Case and Cigarette Lighter is in Victorian style. Comes with its original green cloth pouch as shown in photo.
In great working condition. 

Comes with original instructions.
Lighter is about 3 1/4" x 4 7/8". Case is 4 5/8" x 6 7/8".

The inside of the case is signed, "PET PEND. Elgin American, Made in U. S. A."

This would be a perfect addition to your Compacts, Cigarette Cases, Lighters and other collectibles by Elgin American.

 It is in the gold tone metal that Elgin is known for making its cases, lighters and compacts. It is in a compact style, with a place inside to hold the cigarettes. When the case is opened, there is a button to either leave the lighter in the closed position or to have it open and strike when the case is opened. 

The metal cigarette holders are held by a spring action to keep the stored cigarettes in place. The lighter pulls straight out of the compact for the purpose of filling it.
