These signed, antique Haviland dessert plates are simply gorgeous. Made between 1894 and 1931, the cherry blossom designs are accentuated with scalloped, gold gilded edges, making each plate exquisite. The artist's initials, VMF, appear tucked away on each plate. In very good vintage condition with minor wear on gilding, no known chips, cracks, or repairs.

This item is a antique demitasse cup and saucer that are of the Haviland white Ranson pattern. The demitasse cup is approximately 2 3/8” tall, 2 ¼” wide and the saucer is 4 3/8” wide.  Both are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Please review the pictures as they are a part of the description. #1 (1 of 2).

Teacup & Saucer Haviland Limoges Ranson

An American, David Haviland, was an importer of French and English porcelains during the early to mid-1800's. In 1849 he moved his family to Limoges, France, to begin his own porcelain manufacturing and decorating factory and as a result, Haviland China, was born. Upon his death in 1879, his two sons split the company. Charles formed Haviland & Co., while Theodore formed Theodore Haviland. These items are from the Charles Haviland Company.

The pattern is a lovely floral garland encircling the border of the items. It consists of intermittent three-pedal, red flowers and moss green leaves. This design was created in several variations, the most prominent being the clover design. The china blank used is Ranson with gold trim, blank #1. This as well as the plain white Ranson was the basis for numerous floral patterns. The company mark is "Haviland France" in green, circa 1894-1931. The decorator mark is "Haviland & Co. - Limoges" in red, circa 1889-1931.

Notes from the expert at JustAnswer.com: The red mark is for David Haviland & Co and it coincides with the dates 1889-1931. The green mark will have been a stamp put on by the company in which the blank was and the dates for the green mark are 1894-1931. So that does lesson the gap just a bit. The pattern is called "Schleiger".

Vintage Haviland & Company The Sonderburg Limoges France Vegetable Plate. Decorated with green clovers. The marks for this piece dates from 1894 to 1931. Measures 11 1/4” long and 8 3/4” wide. Very minimal wear on gold handles. Excellent vintage condition. Only one very small chip is pictured that isn’t very obvious - you really need to look for it especially when the dish is covered. Will be very carefully protected for shipping from a nonsmoking, pet free home.

Vintage Haviland & Co. Limoges The Sonderburg Vegetable Dish

Very lucky to have this one go to a new home. It’s beautiful and does have a hand painted gold trim and gold mark on back with others It’s signed on front and RARE because numbered and I haven’t seen ANY numbered pieces! Ever! This one is for the collection home. Or a fabulous gift to a new couple. It’s 7-1/2 in across  embedded in earth tones this sage green foliage and brown shaded vines and stems were th detailed thorns. Victorian pink floral roses give a soft delicate look to this scene. Originated in Haviland France. It has the hallmark of Haviland that was used from 1894-1931. Plus the rare numbering of this plate makes it much more valuable. No nicks or scratches that are on front. Minor wear on back due to age but no cracks or chips. It was in a cabinet.

Haviland Limoges Plate numbered RARE

This is a lovely antique Theodore HAVILAND porcelain casserole/vegetable serving bowl and cover (lid). The ROUND bowl has a beautiful floral pattern with pink roses accented with a gilt gold on the handles. The covered casserole/vegetable bowl measures approximately 10 1/4" in diameter from handle to handle (8 1/8" in diameter) x 5 1/2" tall to top of handle x about 2 1/2" deep. I see no chips or cracks. It is a very clean 80 plus year old piece of Theodore Haviland. 
The Green Glaze Mark on bottom of dish reads as follows:

(Which is from 1894-1931).

The decorator marks reads:
HAVILAND & Co.
Limoges (script looking font)
Which is from 1876-1878/1889-1931
