Inside her family garden of Bourgogne, young Sidonie Gabrielle Colette experienced her first steps as a writer, surrounded by roses and field flowers. Having chosen her third name as a pen name, she was to become an admired literary woman, famous for both her literary and sensual freedom. Reflecting this happy sensual woman, 1873 is a gourmand and refined eau de parfum. Unsettling white flowers blossom in a light bubble, sparkling with tangerine and lemon.

Originality: gourmand hesperidins. It reminds the savor of the lemon tart with meringue, it evokes the hesperidins side of the south of France.

1873 by Histoires de Parfums EDP  60ml 2oz

85% full. Comes with the box. 7753 is a rare unisex tuberose, which is pretty incongruous with the Mona Lisa naming. I usually like HdP's fragrance names, but idk about this one. It lacks the femininity that you would conventionally associate with the Mona Lisa, I feel. I get a green, fresh, creamy tuberose with pear, heliotrope, and sandalwood. Not sweet. Pear is not among the listed notes, so perhaps it is the Ma Khaen Berries combining with the fig. I have no idea what Ma Khaen berries are, so it's possible. Starts green, then goes more floral on the drydown. Very complex and well blended. Unisex but might lean feminine to some people. Great longevity. HdP is renowned for their tuberoses, and this one is no exception. I love the scent in air but it doesn't work on my skin, unfortunately.
