Vintage Mele Jewelery Box

Super neat vintage MCM cream-colored faux leather Jewelry Storage Box with gold embossed detail. Blue velvet type interior with hooks, compartment trays and a bottom drawer that slides open when the top lid is opened. 

This is a pre-owned vintage item being sold as is. I inspected and sanitized it prior to photographing and creating this listing. This Mele & Co jewelry storage box is in good condition compared to others I’ve come across. While there are a few minor spots here and there that show evidence of minor cosmetic wear, the main spot I noted was on the top of the box (top left side, photo included). I also noted a small spot or two that I suspect is dried glue? Other than that? Nothing! No mold, no water stains, NO ODOR! As a vintage item enthusiast, that is an awesome thing in itself! Please look through the photos well before purchase.

Vintage Mele jewelry box

Beautiful jewelry box in a burlwood walnut finish.  The sides have the gorgeous design of the burlwood.  Top opens to reveal a stamp that reads Mele & Co and features a mirror five ring rolls and three additional compartments.  There are five drawers down the front and the sides open to reveal hooks for hanging necklaces.  The interior is super soft and is a fawn brown color.  There are a couple of very tiny nicks on the edge of a couple of drawers but otherwise no condition issues.  Measures 13 inches tall by 12 inches wide.

Mele & Co. Large Ivory Jewerly Box w/ Clear lid 24 Compartments

This beautiful three tier jewelry box is by Mele. Made of wood with a half moon shape, it has gorgeous grains throughout in a rich deep cherrywood stain. Lid held by brass hardware & opens to an interior mirror & center compartment lined in a beige felt material into three sections, a tufted section for rings & two smaller sections. Top section has half moon shaped compartments on sides that swing outwards & lined in same beige felt. Other tiers have half moon shaped compartments with two swinging outward & two stationary. Three antique scrolled brass pulls down front with second & third pulls opening drawers lined in same beige felt. Box sits on two long curved legs & has gold “Mele” sticker on bottom. Dimensions 12” L, 7” W, 7.25” H. From 1980’s & in wonderful vintage condition with slight markings on lid, bottom left, & lid has slight wobble. No cracks, chips, tears, stains, or marks on mirror. See photos. Would look lovely on a vanity or dresser, entryway table or in dining room.
