Antique Vintage African Tribal Brass Lost Wax Cast Metal Beaded Necklace, EUC
I got this beauty at an estate sale & sadly don’t know much about it. As per the seller, this medallion represents wisdom & health. They said it was hand crafted in Africa—while a rare find for those of us, a fairly common piece among one particular tribe. Apparently it had hung on a thick leather cord & was recently swapped out for another look also very much in line with their tribes culture(glass seed beads).All I can really say is that it’s absolutely stunning & I debated whether or not to keep it. In the end, it was my neck that made the final decision. While 99% wouldn’t be bothered by a slightly weighted pendant, my neck is fused both anterior and posterior (front & back) & though it’s not crazy heavy by any means… a feather around my neck would drive me nuts.
