Dinnerware Sets

This art porcelain serving set was made by Sango, Japan in the 1950's. It features an attractive floral transfer that is so artfully done it has the look of a hand painted watercolor. The flower is Thistle with pink blooms and green leaves. There are five pieces: the serving plate measures a generous 12 inches in diameter and 1 5/8 inches deep; four salad plates are 7 inches in diameter each. On the main plate is a mark in Japanese on the front (most likely the original artist's mark). It has three holes in the back for hanging. Use this set for sandwiches, a cake or cupcakes! The background is white and the rims are painted yellow. Marked: "Sango China /Made in Japan" on the backs. This midcentury set is in excellent condition ~ there are no utensil marks, crazing or damage of any kind. I live in the Tampa Bay area for local delivery.
