The Wilton Company has its origin in Columbia, PA beginning in the 1930's. They originally produced pieces in iron and then transitioned to Armetale, which is an aluminum-based alloy that is safer in the serving and cooking process than pewter. Pewter, when originally produced in the 17th, 18th and early 19th centuries, contained lead. The Wilton Company designed their armetale pieces to look like antique pewter but are food safe.

This Queen Anne Armetale pewter dessert plate by Wilton is a beautiful addition to any collection. Crafted in the United States, this plate is made of high-quality Armetale pewter.

The plate is marked with the RWP Columbia PA stamp, indicating its authenticity and origin.
