Description
a 16 x 20 canvas wrap print. ready to hang. The horses were ridden with great care. Each soldier depended on his horse, and losing one was painful because many riders formed a deep bond with them over time. A horse might travel about twenty miles in a day, which was often the most it could endure and still be ready for the next day’s ride. Rest and Relief Crossing rivers and creeks helped soothe the horses’ legs and ankles, much like ice is used today to reduce swelling after a strain. Walking the horses for miles at a time also gave them a needed break and helped them recover for the miles ahead. Please enjoy my art. Peter
