For sale is a beautiful matching pair of vintage German beer steins by the renowned maker Gerz, produced in West Germany. These classic stoneware steins feature colorful raised relief scenes of traditional Bavarian tavern life—men and women in folk dress enjoying drinks at wooden tables, surrounded by edelweiss flowers, scrolling vines, trees, and mountain backdrops. Each stein hold about 1 liter, and stands approximately 11 inches tall (including the ornate pewter lid) with a 4.5-inch base diameter. They have the distinctive tree-trunk style handles, beaded decorative bands, and hinged pewter (zinn) lids with detailed thumb lifts and finials.
