Description
This is a RIDGID 14-inch heavy-duty straight pipe wrench, an iconic American tool first invented in 1923 by the Ridge Tool Company. The marking "PAT. 1727623" refers to a patent granted in 1929 but this model includes the "support ear" below the adjustment nut, a refinement added shortly after the initial 1925 design. Wrenches with these specific patent markings were widely produced from approximately 1937 to 1948, and this one is in excellent condition for its age. Thanks for looking!
