I purchased this heater to be installed in our cosmetics lab room so that it would be independent of our central heat system.  However, in the interim, our central unit went out.  So while the lab room was being completed I I wired this heater so that it could be used free-standing and plugged into a regular receptacle.  We used it for approximately 4 months of our coldest weather in heating our lobby and 2 offices.  It would usually heat all of these spaces on low to medium settings
