Vintage Marx Robin Hood Castle Tin Litho Set from the 1950's based on the television show "The Adventures of Robin Hood".  This set is not complete. Included are:
12 tin castle pieces with front and back assembled
3 trees - 1 cactus
Green Dinner Table
Brown Ladder
2 Buckets - gray & brown
1 Brown Crossbow
White Horse - has been painted
Plastic figurines:
Robinhood, Maid Marian, Friar Tuck, Little John
3 Merry Men - 1 green 2 brown
6 Plastic Silver Knights - loss of paint or maybe painted

This is a pre-owned item in good condition. Parts Only!  No broken connectors, dents, or rust. May need cleaning. A great parts addition for the Marx collector or Robin Hood Fan or search for pieces to complete the set. THE SET IS NOT COMPLETE see pics for included pieces. 35 pieces.  Total weight 3 lb. 7 oz. (bx15x12x12)

Makers are Marx, MPC, Britain, Auburn and some made in Hong Kong. Figures are in good condition with slight wear.

PRICE IS FIRM.

This little guy was something of an experiment. Originally a figurine of Roy Rogers' dog Bullet made by Marx in the mid-20th century, he's made of rubber rather than the hard plastic I'm used to customizing. He also had some damage to his ears and tail and was badly stained, so it was time to give him some new clothes.

I filled in some hollows in his belly and on the insides of his forelegs (you can compare him to an original Bullet in the pictures), and rebuilt his ears and reinforced his tail. I also sanded his seams as best as I could, but the rubber doesn't sand neatly so they aren't quite perfect. I then painted him in Earth Pigments and acrylics to a bright black and tan with glossed eyes,nose, mouth, and claws.

At just shy of 1 1/2" tall he's a bit too large to be in scale with a Breyer Stablemate, but he'd be a nice little shelf sitter who doesn't take up much space (look at him sitting on a quarter in the last picture!)
