It is also my first time ever drawing in realism and working with color pencils. It is a 3D realistic drawing of a CRICKET. Not a Roach. Lol the other pictures are the process of the work. This is signed and drawn in pencil original Stuart Gentling artwork. It measure 8 by 10 inches and is unframed.
     Stuart Gentling (Dec. 31, 1942 – August 31, 2006) was an American visual artist and writer, most known for his artistic collaborations with his twin brother, Scott Gentling.  they co-authored Of Birds and Texas,a book of their artwork and commentary on Texan birds and landscapes. They are also known for designing the murals at the Bass Performance Hall, in Fort Worth, Texas. Stuart primarily worked in watercolors, pencil sketching, and photography. Both brothers struggled to break away from the label “realist”, and preferred the term “representational” when describing their work.
     Works by Stuart Gentling can be found in the permanent collections of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the Houston Museum of Natural Science and The Old Jail Art Center. Stuart Gentling's work has sold at auction for prices ranging from $900-$6000 depending on the size and medium.

Peter Keil is a well known German Abstract Expressionist Artist with a documented and well-known pedigree and history. Peter Keil is part of the Kessler Collection and is exhibited worldwide.

Keil was Influenced by German Expressionism and graffiti elements, Keil is known for his simplified abstractions of traditional art subjects. He studied under Otto Nagel at a young age and developed relationships with other renowned artists such as Joan Miró. As Keil abandoned realism and developed his signature style, he used more vibrant colors rapidly applied with large gestural brushstrokes resembling the abstract style of Picasso.

After discussing any additional information and an initial discussion on procedures, I will send you a summarized text that details all aspects of the project that has been discussed by far.

The materials I will be using is Strathmore's drawing paper, compressed and powdered charcoal along with my graphite pencils!

Dimensions are 9 in. x 12 in. (22.9 cm x 30.5 cm) for 1 figure without background. The portrait will be shipped to you unframed!

The Process:

A charcoal+graphite portrait can be expected to take up to 3 days to complete. When the portrait is close to completion, a photograph will be taken and sent to you for your feedback, where I will attempt to make small adjustments that we may discuss (if necessary). I want you to be thrilled with your portrait! When completely done with the portrait, I will ship the portrait out to you and also send you a final high-quality photo!
