Vintage Handpainted Kathrin Porcelain Bisque Doll

Peddler dolls represent itinerant or street vendors. They are sometimes called Notion Nannies. They most often carry or have attached to their costume a myriad of miniature household items. Some offer a more specialized assortment or just one product. A true Notion Nanny carries sewing implements and fabric.


Peddlers (also spelled pedlars) have been made from many different materials, including leather, paper maché, wax, china, bisque, and cloth. The dolls and their miniature wares may be handcrafted or created by dressing and accessorizing commercially available dolls.


This peddler doll seems to be handmade. Her name is Hager. She is a true Notion Nanny.


Measures approximately 15” tall. Not sure but judging by the note on paper attached to her, it’s definitely vintage and could be antique.

Vintage Peddler Doll 15” - “Hager” The Pedlar Doll

1993 Cititoy Doll is about 19" tall.
She has a cloth body and soft viny-feeling limbs and head. Her hands and feet are in good condition. 

She has TONS of hair that is quite unruly. It is very frizzy and dry on the ends as well as very curly. Hair needs a good soak in conditioner or fabric softener and a wire brush.

12" German Costume Doll Hard Plastic Celluloid Vintage Old Bavaria Germany

15" tall. Beige dress. Orange braids., Spots on arms and legs may be able to be cleaned as they are on fabric. , Celluloid dolls were produced as late as the 1950’s majority made 1900-1940.

This doll was made in Germany between 1948-1960. They are meticulously clothed in traditional European costumes. The arms and legs on each doll move. As is typical for these dolls, the forefinger on their right hand is pointing, while their left hand is clenched. While their clothing is made of fabric, their shoes are painted on. Their eyes do not close. As you can see from the pictures, the dolls are in fantastic condition for any age, let alone being approximately 75 years old!

They are right around 3-inches tall.

Vintage 1700s Style Dolls hand made. Very unique and extraordinary. Found in Germany but hand made in Bavaria. Lady doll stands 9” inches tall and boy is 5” inches tall. The lady doll is puffed with some kind of stuffing paper form to puff up the 1700s style dress but very steady. Very beautifully hand made. In good condition. I do not have the year when made but dolls are vintage.

I found just a few similar dolls online that are in very poor condition for almost the same price. It's very rare for these dolls to be in such great condition

Face: hand painted, lines on the face look like cracks but they are actually a sign of aged antique porcelain. If the bisque doesn't have these lines then it is not antique 
The imperfections in the hand painted areas are also an indication of antique dolls. If they are painted perfectly they are not antique
The doll is made of natural materials (composition) and it has a hard body, not jointed and it can't sit or change positions.
Hands, feet and face are porcelain. Arms are fabric and have wire inside to make it flexible but the movement is limited.
Clothes are silk in perfect condition
This would make a  great gift or a perfect addition to your collection.

Vintage 1950s 60s Rubber Face Red Stripe Doll Plush Toy 11" Carnival Prize FLAWS

Vintage beanbag baby doll. comes with the original dress and pacifier.
This doll is close to 25 years old. many flaws are present with it.
This doll has pink/brown staining on its head and face. 
It's eye lashes are stuck clumped together and its eyelids paint has flaked off. 
The whites of its eyes are yellowing due to age and its blue eyes have done foggy.
It's hands and legs have shine marks and are a bit grubby.
The cloth body is pretty stained on both the front and the back. 
The fabric forming the zip tie casing on its neck is worn thin and is in need of repair.

The dolls dress has some rust staining on the sleeves and is a bit worn/faded.
The pacifier is made of a amber colored plastic and is also showing signs of age. 

I consider this doll to be a nostalgic collector item.
This item is being sold AS IS from my smoke free pet friendly home.
I ship in recycled boxes. the doll stand is NOT included.

She has no known markings on her that indicate manufacture. Her wing fabric is delicate and would need redone as it is separating from the frame.

Very handsome and attractive pair of small, vintage Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls have bright blue eyes and red triangle noses and mouths that is sometimes called 'clown face.' Unusually, their hair is rag (instead of the usual yarn) and their heads are made of composite. They are hard-bodied.  In the style and vintage fabric of their clothing they closely resemble the handicraft of the unknown doll maker of our full-size Raggedy Ann and Andy, and they come from the same collection (*Please see our listing--"Sensational RAGGEDY ANN & ANDY Dolls, Folk Art Variation"--elsewhere in our store.)  This pair is petite, measuring 5 1/2" high by about 4" wide. They are very clean and their facesare  vivid; they have been well-kept.

Genuine Fine Bisque Porcelain 12" Christmas Doll with Wreath VTG

This antique German Parian doll has a bisque head, hands and feet all unglazed with a cloth body. The head features handpainted rosey cheeks, light brown hair and glass eyes. This doll comes wearing what appears to be a handmade dress. I suspect the body, hands and feet are newer but the head does appear older. 

This beautiful vintage doll in great condition with no chips, cracks or breaks though the body does have some yellowing from age. 

Measures approx 18" long from head to toe.

Shirley Temple LITTLE PRINCESS by ZOOK Artist Girl Doll 20in Signed VTG 1987 E11

This listing is for one very kitschy & unique vintage (circa 1950s), presumably Italian souvenir purse doll. Clearly, it could use a bit of TLC. Oddly, I see no indication that it ever had a strap. It appears to be handmade/handpainted (Lenci-like, felt). 

It's 5.5" tall & will stand for display (Note: It's stuffed with paper in most of these listing pictures, but will also stand while empty.) It's small, but fairly roomy inside, for its size.  

Flaws: Face is dirty/discolored, with some small dents that were difficult to capture in pictures. The hair seems pushed back on the forehead & needs to be repositioned on the left side, so it doesn't look like there's a bald spot. 

The body/dress has some stains/discolorations (mostly on the bottom); the front of the hat is torn in the upper right corner.

Standing 15" tall she is on her original heavy cardboard saddle type doll stand which increases her height to 17".

She has thick, curly, jet black hair and beautifully clear gray/green open/close eyes.  She has a very pleasant facial expression that has remained painted perfectly.

Her hard plastic head, arms, legs and body are in "like new" condition with no cracks or discoloring.

Her dress is original-soft yellow satin fabric trimmed with yellow lace. She has a headpiece holding more lace that cascades all the way down her back.  The attachment is the only portion showing wear. It is a flower. The skirt of her dress is held "out" with the stand and crinoline

There are no marking. This was my childhood doll and has been on display since.
