Authentic lacquer miniature paintings are one of the rarest and most unique artworks in the world. This listing is for one hand-painted lacquered round box D depicts the Russian fairytale Knight on a horse. There is gold border / pattern around the side of the box. Signed by the artist, marked made in USSR on the back. Gorgeous craftsmanship and detail. It can be used for a charming display, or to store your small jewelry or other keepsakes. One corner does have a little dent (last pic), but it didn’t damage/crack the wood or gloss. Flat front and back sides, the short sides are rounded. Metal latch has engraved scrollwork. Jewelry Trinket Box Vintage Collectible Decoration White Octagon Dresser Table. This lovely white octagon jewelry/trinket box  has 8 sides, each are 2 3/8 inches. In the bottom of this, there is a lining. 3" high & with lid this is 4" high. 5 5/8 inches wide. This is wooden. There is a name on the bottom of the box & the bottom of the lid. can not see it when displayed. I suppose you could paint it or get a white magic marker maybe to cover it up.

Unique vintage enamel trinket box with a raised bug on top.  The main color is blue, outlined in gold, with darker blue on the sides.  It has curved edges and has a fabulous bug on the top in shades of green,  red, white.  It’s bright turquoise on the inside.  Fabulous piece!

I haven’t seen anything quite like this!  Here is an Asian inspired “Shimma” plastic lidded  keepsake and/or trinket box.  It is an ivory colored and has silver adornments.  (They can be removed, if you don’t like them).  What’s unique is the elongated handle.  The box measures 4” x 3” x 3.5 and the handle is 9 3/4” long.  Great to for the collector or to wrap a special gift in.  
To give you the lowest shipping rate, I send items securely wrapped and in envelopes, versus boxes, whenever  possible.

Large Empty Cigar Bix w/ Brass Latch

I had one of these in the 70’s!  Fabulous trio of  red,  lucite/plastic, hexagon shaped lidded trinket boxes.  They have an Asian design with white bamboo stalks and gold bamboo leaves.  The 2 boxes fit perfectly inside the largest.  Great collectible and practical pieces! The largest box measures 4.5” x 2.5” and the two others fit inside.  In excellent condition.

Vintage Mapsa Chalet Wood Music Box

Lovely hand painted porcelain trinket box from Royal Porzellan of Bavaria. Markings on the bottom indicate "KPM Germany", as well as "Handarbeit " (Handwork) and then there is a signature of the artist & it's dated 1996. The box is approx. 2-3/4" high x 4-1/4" long x 2-1/4" deep. Hand-painted gems along the sides with a floral design on the lid, all on a white background. Shaped differently than most trinket boxes you see.  Overall it's an oval shape, but has scalloped sides all around. The piece is in excellent condition.

2 cute minty trinket boxes from my own collection - one is a soccer bear the other is a basketball bear. They stand just a tad over 3" tall each - no chips cracks or flea bites - hinges close properly and securely. I believe these were purchased by me from a company call Direct Connection but they are not marked - vintage early 90's.

Vintage Handmade Ceramic Pink Trinket Jewelry Box Collectible Home Decor

Beautiful Russian lacquer box from Fedoskino, one of four village in Russia that produced such boxes.  The scene portrays two lovers near the water wheel who walk through the garden. The young lady looks dreamy eyed, while holding her long braided hair.  This is a beautiful example of the mastery by the Fedoskino artists, who reside in a small village known for their realism, 3-D effect, and lavish use of real gold paint. 

HISTORY: These boxes themselves are entirely hand made from multiple layers of paper mache and lacquer.  Though the general themes are repeated, the painting and gold trim are also entirely done by hand, resulting in a unique work of art. 

SIZE APPROX.: 7 3/8 (h) x 5 1/4 (w) x 1 1/2 (h)

IMPERFECTIONS: Box has lacquer crazing & some damage to right lower corner, along other scuffs

 In 1990 The Light Opera Company in San Francisco which had an extensive collection of Russian lacquer boxes, sold a similar box for $560 (~$1300 today, when accounting for inflation).

Genuine Russian Lacquer Box - Hand Painted Jewelry Trinket Box Fedoskino OOAK

Gorgeous, vintage box made in the USSR. In excellent condition, this round, black lacquer lidded box is painted with vibrant, red/orange flowers and foliage in green, yellow and orange.  It is larger than most of the black lacquer boxes you see, measuring about 5 inches across.  There is no damage, chips, etc.  It is at least 33 years old and has a USSR stamp on the bottom. Can use for jewelry, keys, and other items you would like to keep in a special place. Beautiful collectible!
